The city of Warendorf is planning the project "Implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) in Warendorf "New Ems-West" between the Ems stations KM 291,700 to 292,660". The project serves to restore the good ecological potential for the implementation of the WFD in accordance with § 27 WHG. The focus of the planning is the restoration of the typical floodplain site conditions, which form the basis for a dynamically self-regulating ecosystem. In connection with the measures for water conversion, wastewater treatment measures must be carried out.

The overall measure is divided into two lots:

- Lot 1: Water conversion "Neue Ems-West"

- Lot 2: Waste water engineering measures

Applicants can apply for one or both lots. The contract for both lots can be awarded to a bidder if he finally receives the highest score in both lots.

The hydraulic engineering measures summarised in Lot 1 include:

Northern floodplain:

- Barrel extensions in connection with the production of a secondary floodplain and edge sinks

- Construction of a fish ladder as a roughing channel / basin pass, integrated into the running extensions

- Intermediate dam in the existing Ems

- Road construction, partly in a dam position, as a replacement for existing paths

Southern floodplain

- Expansion of the existing Emsbett in connection with the production of a secondary floodplain and edge depressions

- Dismantling of the base structures

- Intermediate dam in the existing Ems

- Flood protection / linear terrain modelling south along the plots in the area of Fischerstraße

- Road construction, partly as a replacement for existing routes

Overview Lot 2 - Wastewater treatment plants

The waste water installations grouped together in Lot 2 include:

(1) Construction of a supply line to the rainwater retention basin "In de Brinke"

(2) New construction of a culvert and conversion of the relief channel from the rü-6 rain overflow in the area of the André Marie Bridge

(3) New construction of a mixed water collector for the residential street Wiesengrund

Services must be provided in the following service areas:

(1) Civil engineering structures HOAI § 43 or Annex 12- LP 5 - 9 - Basic services and special services, esp. Local construction supervision

(2) Services ground, soil management and technical construction supervision

(3) Ecological construction supervision

(4) Vermessungsleistungen

(7) Koordinationsleistungen

(8) Preservation of evidence (optional)

(9) Ensuring hinterland drainage (optional)
