In 1995, the City of Rochefort chose the use of wood energy for heating municipal greenhouses. In 2007 and with the participation of the agglomeration community, a second wood boiler was added, as well as a gas boiler and created a heating network on the site of the former Fourriers school, rehabilitated into an administrative center. This heating network called "furriers" was the subject of a first master plan carried out in 2017.In 2018 two additional buildings were connected (offices of the horticultural center and retail Leclerc). In 2022, two more buildings (Duquesne and Caf) were added to the heating network.
