The Platzspitzwehr is to be replaced by sector weirs and the weir bridge is to be renewed. Access to the weir system is now with a bridge suitable for heavy goods traffic in place of the old Mattensteg. A fish ladder is to be built in the form of a meander fish pass. The historic Mattensteg is being moved and renovated. In addition, ecological replacement measures in the Sihl and a redesign of the Platzspitz are planned.
