The management of these subscriptions advises hiring through agents specialized in this type of publications, since a series of benefits are achieved:• Facilitate management by concentrating and homogenizing the processing, avoiding the cost of personnel associated with direct contact with hundreds of publishers.• Have a single interlocutor to manage electronic access and the supply of paper numbers to the different libraries that make up the Library of the University of Seville• Know in advance the cost of subscriptions for the following year, which favors the forecast of expenses in the different economic cycles• Streamline administrative and economic procedures• Obtain value-added services related to periodicals: control of the sending of numbers, negotiation with publishers for price maintenance, trading to facilitate the publication of our researchers, market trend reports
