The general overhaul of the Sösetal dam is planned by Harzwasserwerke GmbH. The measures include - replacement of the outlet structure as a combination structure with flood relief, operating and basic drainage with extraction tower and operating building as well as road bridge in in-situ concrete construction,
- demolition, dismantling and backfilling of the existing flood relief with road bridge,
- demolition and backfilling of the existing basic drain with extraction tower,
- New construction of the dam internal seal as a bored pile wall,
- Load filling and erosion protection on existing outer seal,
- Rehabilitation and extension of the B 498 federal road including road drainage systems.
The work will be carried out in the water protection area of the drinking water dam Sösetalsperre within the drinking water protection zones I and II.

- Concrete and reinforced concrete work combined structure approx. 5,600 m³,
- Drilling work combination structure and sealing wall for bored piles up to 24 m, diameter 88 cm to 120 cm approx. 9,000 linear metres,
- Concrete work dam internal sealing approx. 4,500 m³,

- Earthworks construction pits and dam filling approx. 35,000 m³,
- Wasserbausteinschüttung ca. 11.000 to,
- Steel and metal construction work technical equipment combined structure (locking fittings with drive, rakes, inspection locks, service providers, fall protection devices, lifting systems),
- Demolition and disposal of asphalt 1,300 tons,
- Traffic road construction work Asphalt repair B 498 on approx. 770 m length,
- Road drainage as a trough-rigolen system on a length of approx. 470 m,
- manufacture of passive protective devices and signage and markings,
- Drainage sewer work Relocation of the DA 250 waste water pressure pipeline to a length of approx. 500 m, including shaft structures.
