The subject of this tender is now the 2nd construction phase, which includes the renovation of the existing building. The facade of the central building from 1973 has already been energetically renovated. Here only an interior renovation is carried out. The technology is being completely revised. Ceilings, doors and floor coverings are replaced, the sanitary facilities are renewed and fire protection is upgraded. When planning the preliminary design, care was taken to preserve the existing spatial structures as much as possible. After the renovation, the ground floor will probably contain the school's specialist rooms, such as IT, the teaching kitchen, workshops and textile workrooms. On the 1st floor the teachers' room, multi-purpose rooms for elementary and middle school, the PCP hall and other classrooms for the middle school. The primary school classrooms are located on the 2nd floor. The renovation of this building will only begin after the new building has been completed. This means that there is no need to outsource classes during the construction period. The extension from 1997 will not be structurally changed. Here, only individual rooms are given new uses and the safety equipment is integrated into the overall system. In addition, room ventilation will be installed. The music school on the ground floor remains unchanged.
The renovation is also expected to take place again in 2 stages. School operations must be maintained at all times. For this reason, the execution will probably have to be subdivided again.

The total costs for the renovation (KG 200 to 700) amount to around EUR 9 million gross. Of this, gross EUR 4.3 million is attributable to the KG 300 and EUR 2.2 million gross to the KG 400. The cost estimate is also attached to the tender documents, but is as of 2018.
