The current framework plan for the area (2.D27) provides that, in addition, only "a few smaller buildings, with common use for the area's residents" may be erected. There is no local plan for the area.
The properties are built according to 1950s norms and requirements for building technology, for example with uninsulated concrete walls and light facade elements. Since the time of construction, there has been ongoing maintenance and some major improvements. In recent years, it has also been necessary to carry out continuous concrete repairs in order to protect against falling concrete pieces.
- In the 1980s, all windows to the west were replaced with PVC windows,
- In the year 2000-2001 renovation of the facade towards the entrance hall, in the form of replacement of windows and light fixtures, has been carried out,
- Bathrooms were renovated in 2003, they are maintained in 160 apartments,
- Technology room was renovated around the year 2008.
The outdoor areas nowadays lie as green, not particularly characteristic or inspiring areas. The areas are also open to the heavily-congested Nyborgvej.
The overall plan for Div. 33 Jens Juels Vej contains a number of general housing improvements, as well as establishing accessibility in 64 of the homes. The improvements include modernizing bathrooms and kitchens, as well as creating greater openness in the home. In addition, the building will receive a new lift with new facades, which will ensure the same expression of the building as first erected.
In addition to improvements in the individual apartments, the overall plan also includes an improvement and upgrading of the outdoor areas, where there has also been a great focus on creating transversal connections between the blocks.
The project also includes the establishment of a new handicap-friendly toilet in the community house, a new terrace for the common house and the replacement of roofs at the community house and garage buildings.
