The city of Cologne intends to carry out the preparatory work for the construction of a city-wide traffic sign cadastre in 2019 with the registration of traffic signs. The aim and purpose of the call for tenders is the collection of all traffic signs on the basis of the Highway Code (StVO) as well as the registration of the associated additional signs and reference texts. In addition, the municipal parking ticket machines with associated information signs, the bicycle guidance system and the pedestrian guidance system are to be inventoried. In addition, the corresponding image proofs must be maintained for all objects and assigned to the objects.

The service to be provided covers the entire urban area with an estimated network length of approximately 2,700 kilometers (all public roads including pedestrian zones, except motorways). The service must be completed by 31.10.2019.
