Main area Lot 1 - BuildingsAt the existing building complex HyFaB (Research Factory for Fuel Cell Technology -
HyFaB1 and HyFaB2) in Ulm, Lise-Meitner-Str. 24 is to be used for the project "Powder-Up! – Development, scale
Up and production of competitive cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries". The pilot plant, an analytical laboratory and facilities for rapid electrochemical validation are to be implemented within the project.
The Powder-Up! - Gebäudefinger will also include the basic technical installations necessary for the further expansion of the Lise-Meitner-Straße site. The building with a basement takes up
the pilot plant on the ground floor (powder part) and on the first floor (precipitation part). Analytics will be housed on the second floor and electrochemistry on the third floor. The basement contains the rear connections to the existing HyFaB energy centre, the infrastructure required for chemical operations and a measuring room for vibration-sensitive measuring instruments, which were installed as part of Powder-Up! can be purchased. In the basement, the supply infrastructure is also being prepared for a possible third and fourth building finger.
In detail, the following are required:
• Connection to drinking water house connection
• Drinking water distribution for sanitary ware
• Sewage connections for sanitary ware
• Roof drainage as a vacuum system
• Connection to district heating station
• Heating network with ready-to-use radiator and connection to ventilation
• Stainless steel compressed air lines
• Thermal and cold insulation for the pipes and ducts
The tender is divided into lots because the overall measure for KG 410, KG 420 and KG 430 is financed by two different cost units and therefore separate invoicing is required. Lot 1 contains sub-measures of KG 410 and KG 420, which are financed by the cost unit "buildings".
Los 2 - BMFThe general description for Lot 2 is identical to Lot 1 (see Lot 1).
In detail, the following are required:
• Connection of heating network to ventilation
• Drinking water distribution for laboratory equipment incl. emergency showers
• Sewage connections for laboratory equipment
• Wastewater neutralization and wastewater collection plant
• Connection to district cooling station
• Expansion of the district cooling station
• Refrigeration network with decentralised circulating air coolers, connection ventilation and separate,
drucklosem Labor- Kältenetz
• Ventilation unit as weatherproof outdoor unit for roof installation
• Supply and exhaust air ducts galvanized as well as exhaust air ducts in pps-el
• Drying device for supply air powder room
• Thermal and cold insulation for the pipes and ducts

Lot 2 contains partial measures of KG 410 and KG 420, as well as the measures of KG 430, which are financed by the cost unit "BMF".
