The port facility of the city harbour (harbour basin) in Haldensleben is no longer state-of-the-art and is to be renovated. In the city harbour of Haldensleben, the replacement of a quay in sheet pile construction over a length of 130 m is planned. The quay system must be equipped with bollards, spars, ladders, friction piles and quay sockets in accordance with the state of the art. The adjacent areas, including supply and disposal lines and rainwater drainage, are to be redesigned over an average depth of 21 m to the adjacent UHH transshipment site. Access via the public transport system "Hafenstraße" is to be provided.
Terminal lighting, including the connection of the mast luminaires, as well as the supply connection of the transshipment facilities are to be redesigned as technical equipment of plant group 4. It is imperative that the construction work be carried out under limited port operations. The city harbour is connected to the classified road network via Hafenstraße.
The traffic area of the port facility is paved with an asphalt surface, which shows considerable wear and tear due to its many years of use.
The connection to the public road network is via an approx. 120 m long access road, which connects to Hafenstraße by means of a corner curve. This access road is also to be upgraded in the course of the construction project.
