The University of York has a highly regarded Chemistry department, which is situated on the Heslington West Campus. The department has a range of buildings that have been developed from the original University creation during the 1960s, up to the current day. This development is continuing, with the latest research and teaching accommodation due for completion in the next few months.

The new laboratories will provide outstanding professional-standard training facilities for the scientists of tomorrow and house the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, a world leading research centre which aims to promote the development and implementation of green and sustainable chemistry and related technologies into new products and processes.

In preparation for the handover of this new building, a range of specialist equipment, goods and services are required to fit out the laboratories. This tender has been created to acquire those items.

The tender documentation provides full details of each required item and any accompanying warranty and/or service contract (where applicable) that may also be needed. The range of items includes rotary evaporators and vacuum pumps, through to microwaves and refrigerators. Each item is being offered on an individual basis. Tenderers are invited to submit proposals for one or all items listed.

Please note that the estimated value included in this published Notice is for the purchase of all listed items. Budgetary restrictions will determine whether all items listed are procured and the University reserves the right to not purchase all of the items listed.
