Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority has awarded a framework agreement for the provision of firefighting foam concentrate. The framework consists of 9 lots that are broken down by risk.
Lot 1 is aimed at Fire and Rescue Services with large open top storage tanks over 30 m in diameter containing liquid hydrocarbon fuel or product similar physical properties.
Lot 2 is aimed at Fire and Rescue Services who have open top storage tanks less than 30 m in diameter containing liquid hydrocarbon fuel or product similar physical properties.
Lot 3 is aimed at Fire and Rescue Services with storage tanks containing polar solvent/alcohol.
Lot 4 is aimed at Fire and Rescue Services with semi-fixed system all sizes containing liquid hydrocarbon fuel or product similar physical properties. (Type II application).
Lot 5 is focused on the major risk for most UK Fire and Rescue Services.
Lot 6 focuses on performance with a balance between environmental and cost.
Lot 7 is for the supply of wetting agents.
Lot 8 is for the supply of training foam.
Foams compatible with compressed air foam systems.
