Scientific support of a model project for urban development

Accompanying scientific research and evaluation of the model project for the further development of urban development within the model project “LIVING THE FUTURE IN THE SOUTH OF PLAUEN”

The model projects under the umbrella of national urban development policy are intended to develop modernization and adaptation strategies for climate-friendly reconstruction, infrastructure for new forms of mobility, for densification and coexistence of sport, living, leisure and business, and social cohesion, as well as social cohesion. The aim is to draw conclusions from the results for the further development of federal-state urban development.

With its mission statement: “Activating the South of Plauen into a sustainable residential and living quarters of the future while strengthening central functional features”, the city of Plauen's model project aims to make the South of Plauen sustainable and in line with the guiding principle for all generations to become a viable and particularly develop a family-friendly residential location and a high-performance attractive main center with supra-regional appeal and a good image.
