The objective of the procurement is to cover the need for a new main water pipeline from Skullerud Water Treatment Plant to the distribution network in Eastern Oslo (Søndre Nordstrand). First and foremost this secures the supply in the area, but also provides possibilities for further expansion of the housing stock.

The initiative includes a 3.3. Km long conventionally driven tunnel, a 1 000 mm transmission line as well as other necessary installations.

The procurement comprises a turnkey contract where the turnkey contractor is responsible for the engineering design and execution. VAV [the Water and Sewage Authority] has prepared a function description, as well as some drawings.

The competition will be held in accordance with the Public Procurements Act from 17.6.2016 nº 73 about public procurement (PPA) and regulations about purchasing regulations in the supply sector of 12.8.2016 nº 975 (the supply regulation) part I and part II as well as provisions in this qualification documentation.

The contest will be carried out as a negotiated procedure, in 2 stages. This procedure type means that all interested tenderers are invited to submit a request for participation in the tender contest. Negotiations are permitted.
