The subject of the present award procedure is the Europe-wide award of engineering services for engineering structures and transport facilities for the K7743 Markdorf bypass.
The Lake Constance district is planning the K7743 Markdorf bypass. The present design includes the construction of a bypass road south of Markdorf between the B 33 Meersburg - Markdorf and the L 207 Markdorf - Friedrichshafen. It includes the new construction of the Markdorf bypass, the connection to the existing qualified road network and the necessary additions to the existing economic route network.
The length of the continuous construction line is around 3 km, and a control cross section with 8.0 m of paved roadway width is envisaged. The length of the changed/supplemented or newly created agricultural road network is around 5.5 km. The connections to the B 33 and L 207 are currently provided at the same height.
In the area of the connection to the L 207, the K 7743 now crosses the Stahringen-Friedrichshafen railway line. A transfer structure for the single-track railway line is planned here. In addition, a cycle path underpass under the railway line is planned. Other engineering structures to be planned include three new economic route bridges via K 7743, as well as a bridge structure across the Lipbach and two trench passages. In addition, the drainage of the traffic facility, which is predominantly in the cutting stage, must be planned.
The start of construction is planned for the end of 2022/beginning of 2023. Completion is expected to take place in 2026. The total construction costs amount to approximately EUR 33.6 million gross, the costs of the components relating to this tender are estimated at approximately EUR 21.5 million gross.
The subject matter of the present procedure is construction planning services in accordance with § 43 HOAI and traffic facilities according to § 47 HOAI, service phases 8 and 9 as well as services of local construction supervision including railway site supervisor (BÜB) /structural engineering in accordance with RIL 809.0301V04 for the Markdorf bypass K7743.

The planned, partially plan-free hub “Haslacher Hof” required a prompt continuation towards the Salem Basin in the course of the OU Bermatingen (L205).
The Ministry of Transport has decided not to continue planning the L 205 OU Bermatingen at present.
As part of the traffic investigation on the dialogue procedure B 31 new, Meersburg-Immenstaad, it was shown that the traffic load in the course of K 7743 new, OU Markdorf, will be lower, so that the construction of a partially plan-free node can no longer be justified for traffic and economic reasons at present.
It was therefore examined whether the node - as an interim solution - can initially only be implemented as a true-to-plan hub (as a CIP) within the limits of planning approval without a new approval procedure.
In contrast to what is shown in the planning approval documents, a roundabout with a diameter of 40 m with a connection point of the northern ramp on the B 33 is now planned.
The overview plan with CIP connection B33 is included as an installation.
Applicants selected as part of the competition will receive more detailed information about the scope of the service with the invitation to submit a bid.
