The National Train Control Centre is a new five-storey building with partial basement to be constructed at Heuston Station Dublin. This facility will become the signalling control centre for Irish Rail and will also house a number of other third party traffic control centres. The building will be located within a secure compound with a number of car park spaces. Mechanical and electrical systems form a significant element of the building.
Irish Rail operates under the utilities directive this procedure is a negotiated procedure under a call to competition. Economic operators interested in participating in this call to competition must download the pre-qualification questionnaire available at www.etender.gov.ie and there after upload the completed PQQ including supporting information by 12.00 noon 26 February 2019. For the purpose of this RFT 145088 — 7133 Applicants when submitting their PQQ must name the M&E contractor who they intend to contract with should the applicant be successful in being awarded the contract (Part 1 section 1.14). The applicant can only name one (1) M&E contractor and in this regard the applicant must submit with this PQQ a legally binding letter of undertaking/letter of support from the named M&E contractor stating that should the applicant be successful and be awarded the contract, they, the M&E contractor will provide all the necessary resources and support to the applicant. The letter must be duly signed by a person authorised to sign on behalf of the M&E contractor and must reference the M&E contractors details, the resources that will be made available to the applicant including reference to the project as specified on the cover of this PQQ.
