Description:

The Justus-Liebig-Schule high school is located in the inner city area of Darmstadt "in the school island", address Landwehrstraße 28, 64293 Darmstadt, Germany.

The building is a listed building and was erected in 1911 on four floors in strict axiality under the planning of city building councilor August Buxbaum as a secondary school for boys and borders on the south side of the neighboring gymnasium. The old building has a basement half protruding from the site and 4 above-ground floors as well as the attic, which will be expanded for classrooms as part of the renovation.

Building dimensions:

Activities:

The necessary work is essentially about the total renovation of the building inside. The outer shell with facade, windows and roof was renovated a few years ago in line with the preservation order. Except in the stairwells and the corridors, the building is being dismantled down to the shell construction.

The school itself is outsourced. The construction work is not carried out while the plant is in operation; however, the school yard will continue to be used and the requirements according to Site plan must be followed.

Since this is a funding measure, the construction project is formally divided into 2 construction phases, of which the 1st BA with all services of all trades must be completed and approved by the end of 2020.

Intended construction phase:

1.BA: UG, EG, DG approx. 3 750.00 m 2 BGF

2nd BA: 1st floor-3rd floor approx. 3 750.00 m 2 BGF

The services for the individual construction phases are to be billed separately.
