Two reconnaissance vehicles for biological and chemical hazards (CB explorers).

The district of Gifhorn is procuring two identical reconnaissance vehicles for biological and chemical hazardous substances (CB explorers), each of which meets the requirements described below.

The vehicles are used to transport personnel and equipment as well as to detect, measure, sense and report biological and chemical substances. In addition, air samples are to be taken.

It must still be possible to warn the population with the vehicle.

Each vehicle is operated by a crew of 6 people (1:5 – relay) and is also used to transport them. It is therefore necessary to provide an appropriate seat for each person as well as the corresponding safety belts.

To ensure operational readiness, special attention must be paid to a maintenance-friendly design. The planning, selection of components and materials as well as the entire execution must be geared to this.
