The National Theatre in Oslo shall be Norway's leading theatre and we wish to have an important social role — also for persons who are not our audience. In order to secure the artistic production and the position of the National Theatre it is important to have high audience attendance and increased personal income. The digital platform is an important function in all respects.
The customer experience and digital channels are critical in this respect. Digital channels are forming an important role for how we shall create and meet the audience's expectations, how to sell and distribute tickets and on how to build relations and facilitating sharing the audience experience with others.
During the 4 years renovation period theatrical performance shall be conducted at several different locations in Oslo. Due to this, the contact with the audience via digital platforms is increasingly important.
The digital initiative for the National Theatre must enable the theatre to comply with the social assignments and help us reach the strategical goals.
