Rv13 Deildo is situated in Ullensvang municipality, approximately 3 km south of Lotfhus. The section goes from Djupevik/Espenes to Geithamrane and shall be upgraded, expanded and rock fall protected. The length of the section is approximately 2 650 m from profile 18 900 to profile 21 550. A new culvert over the Deildo River shall be constructed. For large sections of the project, cuttings in uncompact materials shall be executed as earth riveting. The project has a major surplus of masses and the contractor shall build a temporary road for construction purposes and quay for shipment of masses with barges. The masses shall be transported by barges to various filling projects in the vicinity. Parts of the surplus masses shall be deposited in the old gravel pit in Deildo. The gravel pit shall also be used for temporary storage of masses that shall be used in a national tourist road project at Espenes.
