Study of the standardization progress for the update of the technical provisions for the certification of marine equipment and management of the technical secretarial of MED notified bodies group.

The purpose of this contract is:

Firstly, to obtain a study intended to update the regulatory provisions for the certification of marine equipment as listed in:

• the current Implementing Regulation of the Marine Equipment Directive (MED IR) as foreseen by Article 35 of Directive 2014/90/EU, as amended;

• Annex II of the EU-USA Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) as amended, for marine equipment.

Secondly, to assist EMSA on the operation of a technical secretariat for the Group of Notified Bodies (MarED Group) performing product certification under the MED.
