WNA Datteln has been entrusted with the planning of the expansion of the Wesel-Datteln Canal from the Rhine to Marl (BVWP project W 23).
In the first step, planning services are to be awarded in four separate contracts in the areas of environmental planning, line expansion, crossing structures and locks.
For the area of environmental planning, the preparation of the environmental law reports (EIA report including relevant expert opinions) for the overall project "Expansion WDK to Marl" is to be awarded.
The planning area comprises the 40-kilometre-long upgraded line (including locks and transverse structures) with an investigation room on both sides. The total size of the planned area is 3,801 ha.
For the areas of investigation of the special services, separate examination-specific delimitations are made (see service description, Annex 3 to Form 602-F)

- Water Framework Directive technical contribution
- Landscape Pampering Accompanying Plan (LBP)
