This call for tenders seeks the supplier/suppliers of fruit and vegetables for the period September 2021 to July 2022. Depending on the prices received and the Saarland budget situation in 2021/2022, the duration of the programme may decrease.

In the school year 2021/2022, between 25,000 and 27,000 children at 270 to 300 locations in Saarland receive fresh fruit and vegetables three times a week. The participating facilities provide children with one portion of fruit and vegetables per child free of charge three times a week. One serving weighs 100 grams gross and is delivered on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection.
