The Procurement Cooperation in Sunnmøre, with Ålesund Municipality as the contracting authority and host municipality, would like to enter into a framework agreement for the procurement and assembly of crash barriers along municipal roads for: Fjord Municipality, Giske Municipality, Herøy Municipality, Sande Municipality, Sula Municipality, Vestnes Municipality, Volda Municipality, Ørsta Municipality, the Ålesund Region Port Authority, and Ålesund Municipality.

The aim is to cover the contracting authority's need for crash barriers by entering into a framework agreement with one tenderer for the procurement and assembly of crash barriers along municipal roads. The contract will cover new installation, replacements, and new railings on existing roads where there are no crash barriers.

The framework agreement period is 2 years. The contracting authority has an option to extend the framework agreement for a further one year + one year, a total maximum of four years.

The estimated amount under the framework agreement period will be NOK 3 million excluding VAT a year, which is equivalent to NOK 12 million for the entire contract period (including option years). The estimate is based on previous amounts as well as the future need for setting up crash barriers. The maximum financial limit for the framework agreement for the entire contract period (including option years) is NOK 16 million excluding VAT.

The scope is only an estimate and is not binding for the contracting authority. This maximum financial limit has been set in order to ensure necessary limits if the needs are greater than expected.

The contract is subject to any organisational changes, for example, due to municipality splits in 2024, which can affect the contract. The contracting authority can also choose not to use the contract for turnkey contracts, etc.
