The city of Ettlingen intends to have a shelter for refugees built on the municipal property in Seestraße Ettlingenweier. A three-storey residential building with 12 apartments and a living space of approx. 1,048 m2 is to be built in timber element construction. The building is to be constructed in timber or timber hybrid construction with a pent roof, while the basement is to be constructed in reinforced concrete.

The maximum gross remuneration is EUR 2,750,000. Bidders are invited to undercut this amount in their bid. The overall measure is scheduled for completion by 31.12.2024.
A general contractor is being sought for the planning and construction of the residential building, who will construct the building and finally construct the outdoor facilities. As a basis, a building application, the work planning with master detail planning and a functional service description are available.
Funding will be used for the measure, and a grant notification has been issued. For the provision of the proof of use, the general contractor is to support the city of Ettlingen.

The procedure is published nationally as a restricted invitation to tender with a preliminary participation competition in accordance with § 3a para. 1, sentence 1 VOB/A. In doing so, the conditions are created so that it is possible to award the contract to a general contractor that takes into account the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises.
