Carrying out X-ray examinations for the registration and first admission of asylum seekers in the Central Immigration Office (ZAB) in Bielefeld.
At the Central Immigration Service (ZAB) in Bielefeld, around 500 people ask for asylum per month. Every asylum seeker who has reached the age of 15 and lives in a shared accommodation facility must, in accordance with Section 62 (1) of the Asylum Act (AsylG), an x-ray of the lungs to confirm that tuberculosis is free.
Number of X-ray examinations per month: approx. 500, of which between 5 and 15 per month with suspected TBC (depending on access numbers) and with secondary diagnosis:> 100 cases / year.
Experience has shown that more refugees ask for asylum in the months of September to February, so that significantly more than 15-20 people per day have to be X-rayed. However, the number may be lower in the remaining months. This makes flexible working hours and personnel provision necessary. In order to utilize the capacity of the X-ray facility, the use of X-ray facilities of the contractor is required, under his responsibility under radiation protection law. In addition to the fulfillment of internal logistic conditions at the contractor, parking spaces must be provided for the buses to be used for the transfer.
Rooms and an X-ray device for taking lung images are provided by the district government. The contractor operates the X-ray facility independently in accordance with the specifications in this tender. Further details can be found in the service description.
