The successful tenderer will be required to provide integrated network management, maintenance, improvement activities, incident management, event management and contingency planning on the all purpose trunk roads and motorways in Highways Agency Area 7 in accordance with the Highways Agency standards and objectives. Duties to include: All routine and cyclic road and bridge maintenance works, including winter maintenance and capital schemes (but excluding S278 works unless instructed), which will have an upper value limit of between 4 000 000 GBP and 8 000 000 GBP. The final contract documentation will confirm the limit. Duties may also include the following: Provision of planning advice, design, co-ordination and supervision of maintenance, asset renewal and improvement schemes (unlimited by value). Supporting functions in relation to HA DBFO routes in Area 7 where instructed. The management of works if so instructed. Applicant companies should note that the Agency is considering amending the duties listed above and may remove or amend these as appropriate during the contract period.

The Contract will be for a period of 5 years from the access date with the scope to extend by up to a further 3 years subject to Highways Agency operational requirements and satisfactory contractor performance.
