Sourcing services and fulfillment services of non-cash rewards as well as the development and operation of a webshop for the rewards range (including non-service provider premiums) of BahnBonus, DB's customer loyalty program.
DB Fernverkehr AG intends to award the contract for the quotation and fulfillment services for the premium range of the customer loyalty program of Deutsche Bahn AG (BahnBonus). The BahnBonus programme is aimed in particular at travellers in Germany and neighbouring countries. The operator of the BahnBonus program is DB Fernverkehr AG, a 100% subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG.
The contract is awarded by DB Fernverkehr AG (hereinafter referred to as the "Client") with the aim of commissioning a service provider (hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor") with the overall processing of selected premiums (goods and services) (hereinafter referred to as the "Article"), including the involvement of external partners in accordance with the Client, with all consulting, fulfillment and monitoring services.
The scope of the contract includes the development of the offer and provision of target group-relevant articles depending on the briefing by the client, including consulting, sourcing, data preparation according to specifications, warehousing and ensuring product availability as well as all associated fulfillment services including shipping, customer communication (e.g. delivery notes), returns management and monitoring of shipping processes.
All employees of the applicant or their sub-service providers who will later be responsible for the DB Fernverkehr AG account must prove that they have two or more years of professional experience in the management of bonus programs and German that they are proficient in sound and writing at least at B2 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)). The contractor shall provide at least two technical contact persons who are available to the client in constant exchange.
The range is to be updated regularly. Billing is carried out monthly on the basis of the items purchased and fulfillment services. The client does not commit himself to any minimum purchase quantities. For costs due to the purchase of goods and fulfillment, pre-financing by the contractor is necessary.
In addition, the contractor must set up a webshop for the assortment and guarantee the associated operation as well as the possibility of additional payment (business model) by the customer when ordering a premium. In addition to the contractor's premiums, the webshop must be able to display and, if necessary, send other premiums (such as rail premiums, donation premiums, partner premiums) that are the responsibility of the client.
The rewards program stands out with its high ecological sustainability standards and thus clearly distinguishes itself as a green rewards program. The client's goal is to offer an exclusively ecologically sustainable range of premiums. In the long term, this includes not only the sustainable premium portfolio mentioned above, but also the packaging and shipping of the premiums. In doing so, DB Fernverkehr AG attaches great importance to not having any losses in terms of up-to-dateness and quality. The rewards shop is characterized by the unique composition of the rewards portfolio.
Across the board, the premium portfolio must be attractive and innovative and include high-quality products that are relevant to the target group. Overall, the premium must offer the customer a benefit and added value and reward him for traveling with Deutsche Bahn.
