IKT Fjellregionen IKS intends to enter into a contract for the disposal if ICT equipment such as PCs, mobile telephones, servers, hard disks, as well as other equipment that naturally comes under this.

The aim of the procurement is to cover the contracting authority's ongoing need to dispose of ICT equipment in a secure and environmentally friendly way, so that as much of the equipment as possible can be reused and recycled. A particularly important part of the contract is that saved data is deleted in a secure way before the equipment is reused or sold.

Used equipment that is not suitable for further sale or recycling must be destroyed in accordance with the regulations on recycling and treating waste from 1 June 2004, no. 930 (the Waste Regulations).

The procurement is for services within the disposal and secure deletion of data on used ICT equipment. Secure deleting of data must be carried out on all storage media that are not destroyed in such a way that the data will not be possible to recreate after it is destroyed. The contracting authority intends to make a profit on this disposal scheme. It is therefore important that the destruction and deleting costs are kept as low as possible, as there will be many disks in the start phase that must be deleted and destroyed.

 The contracting authority currently has a lot of equipment that must be disposed of. There will therefore be a large volume in the start phase of the contract.
