The project Renovation of Langebro is anchored in the unit "Bridge and Tunnel" in the City of Copenhagen. The project will be implemented in the period 2021 – 2025.

At the end of 2019, a condition assessment of Langebro showed a high content of chloride in the concrete in the old parking basement area on the Zealand side, especially around the dilation joints, due to leaking dilation joints over many years. This created a concern for the condition of the rest of Langebro. Therefore, a total renovation of the bridge was initiated, which will take place over a 10-year period 2020-2030 divided into three different phases, of which Phase A has been carried out and Phase B has been partially carried out:

• Phase A: Urgent repairs to prevent further penetration of water. 2020-2021

• Phase B: Thorough renovation, mainly of the concrete structures 2021-2025

• Phase C: Opretning af broklap 2026-2029

The present tender includes consultancy in connection with Phase B, which is divided into two parts, hereinafter referred to as "Renovation of Langebro part 1" and "Renovation of Langebro part 2". Phase C has not yet been funded.

Consultancy in connection with the project "Renovation of Langebro parts 1 and 2" includes renovation of concrete and masonry in flap spans, two bridge spans and two arch spans, two ramp rooms incl. stairs and renovation of tunnel at Thorshavnsgade. The advice is divided into the following two parts:

The renovation of Langebro part 1, which is handled by COWI as turnkey consultant, will take place in the period 2021-2023 and includes the following:

• Clarification phase for all contracts in Renovation of Langebro (parts 1 and 2)

• Design phase for contracts E1, E2, E3, E5, E6 and E8

• Execution phase for contracts E1, E2, E3 and E5

The renovation of Langebro part 2, which is the consultancy assignment offered here, will mainly consist of the following overall services:

• Projection phase (primary tender project) for the following contracts:

the E4 Klappillerne

the E7 Stitunnelen Thorshavnsgade

• Execution phase (supervision and assistance to construction management) for the following contracts:

the E4 Klappillerne

o E6 Ramp Room Amager

the E7 Stitunnelen Thorshavnsgade

o E8 Re-establishment of installations in Ramperum Amager

Contract E4 deals with possible environmental remediation and renovation of concrete inside bascule cellars and arch spans above water with access from cliff cellars both on the Zealand side and the Amager side.

Contract E6 deals with demolition of existing fixtures, interior concrete renovation, renovation of exterior masonry.

Contract E7 deals with concrete renovation of the pedestrian tunnel (both in-situ and element-built concrete), located in extension of Thorshavnsgade.

Contract E8 deals with the restoration of installations and thermal insulation, etc. in the rental rooms in Ramperum Amager.

TMF estimates that in 2024 it will be a consumption of 10,000 hours and a consumption of 7,000 hours in 2025.
