Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Adult MRI Service provider with effect from 1.6.2020 to undertake its Adult MRI services for adult patients over the age of 18 years. Any agreement resulting from this procurement will be available to all current and future members of North Central London sustainability and transformation partnership (NCL STP) members and Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust group members.

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified adult MRI service provider with effect from 1.6.2020 to undertake its adult MRI services for adult patients over the age of 18 years.

The services required and project scope is as follows:

— single site for scans,

— for private providers only: in the event of an unforeseen emergency arising the provider must have in place processes to stabilise the patient and transfer them to the nearest NHS acute hospital,

— any unexpected or urgent findings must be conveyed to the Moorfields Eye Hospital Radiology Department immediately,

— image transfer via the image exchange portal (IEP);

— scan appointments must be with routine patients within 7 working days of receiving the referral. Scan appointments must be booked with urgent patients within 2 working days of receiving the referral,

— scans must be performed within the NHS diagnostic target: urgent 0-2 weeks, semi-urgent 2-4 weeks and routine within 6 weeks, and

— all radiographers must be Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.

The contract will be for 3 years and 2 options to extend for a 12-month duration each.
