Radar spare parts and accessories. Repair and supply of Watchman Radar travelling wave tubes.

The ADATS Delivery Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence, has a requirement for the inspection, evaluation, repair, bonded storage and issue of travelling wave tubes (TWTs) NSN: 10CV 5840-99-7772117 in order to support its fleet of Watchman Radar systems. There will also be a requirement to supply new and new-for-old TWTs to maintain support. ADATS DT does not have access to the IPR, repair data or drawings; any interested company must demonstrate Design Authority Rights and be able to obtain repair data from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). It is expected that all spare items required to execute repair shall be provided by the contractor and conform to the OEM's specification. Repaired items shall be delivered self-to-self for bonded storage, until required by ADATS DT and will be warranted from when they are fitted to a site transmitter. The contractor shall also undertake to provide engineering support, at the request of ADATS DT, at any radar site in the British Isles, within 24 hours.

The contract duration is likely to be for 3 years with options for further years.

Suitably qualified companies are invited to submit expressions of interest to the above DT and must comply with the following criteria:

a. Quality assurance certification to ISO 9001:2000 or equivalent;

b. A brief description of the company and previous experience in respect of the repair and supply of Watchman TWTs, disclosing the names of organisations to which they have provided a similar service, limited to 2 sides of A4;

c. Evidence of Design Authority Rights or agreement to obtain relevant repair data and drawings from the OEM.

Expressions of interest are to be submitted by Wednesday 8.2.2012.

The contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous, taking into account overall value for money, repair turn around times and technical merit.

QA standards: cetrificated to ISO: 9001:2000 with appropriate scope covering design, development and production.
