The Council is looking to replace its fleet of waste vehicles with new vehicles to be provided on a contract hire basis, to include all routine maintenance, provision of a dedicated fitter to maintain these vehicles, a twice daily defect clinic, plus service reserve vehicles provided free of charge as per service vehicle specifications. This procurement exercise will consist of 2 lots:

Lot 1: Specialist Heavy Goods Vehicles (40 vehicles);

Lot 2: Compact sweepers (12 vehicles).

The Council is looking to replace its fleet of compact sweeper with new vehicles to be provided on a contract hire basis, to include all routine maintenance, provision of a dedicated fitter to maintain these vehicles, All the vehicles on Lot 2 will be provided on a contract hire basis for a 36-month. Repairs and Maintenance will be included, as detailed in the services specification.

All the vehicles on Lot 1 will be provided on a contract hire basis for a period of 60 months. Repairs and Maintenance will be included, as detailed in the service specification.
