Expert activities in accordance with § 20 of the Atomic Energy Act in supervisory proceedings concerning nuclear power plants and interim storage facilities.

Teilauftrag 1:

Safety-related assessment of events that must be reported according to AtSMV and INES at the Philippsburg nuclear power plant, units 1 and 2 (PPPs 1 and 2) as well as at Neckarwestheim, blocks I and II (GKN I and II) - also with regard to root cause analysis, suggestion of remedial measures, transferability of the event to other facilities or operational regulations of the plant as well as to other plants.

Teilauftrag 2:

Comprehensive inspection as part of plant inspections: plant inspections must be used to inspect the safety-relevant areas.

Periodic inspections of safety-relevant areas of the plant as well as random inspection of operating records:

- to check whether the condition and function of the plant components and systems comply with the safety requirements,

- to check the operational readiness and proper functioning of the systems.

Supervision of interim storage facilities for the storage of irradiated nuclear fuel at the sites of Baden-Württemberg's nuclear power plants

Expert services under nuclear law concerning operation, reportable events and non-significant changes to the interim storage facilities at the Neckarwestheim and Philippsburg sites. For the area of reportable events (ME), points 1c – 1i of the specifications for lot 1/subcontract 1 (see Part II. a. of the procurement documents) apply analogously.
