With the coming into force of the Clean Vehicles Directive and the national implementation in the form of the Clean Vehicles Procurement Act, public transport companies are required to completely transition their vehicle acquisitions to alternative drive technologies by 2031. As a result of a completed study, a transition to electric buses utilizing additional areas in the immediate vicinity of the existing depot is necessary. This also implies the need for adaptation of the maintenance and charging infrastructure (e.g., depot). Consequently, HAVAG plans to expand the Freiimfelder Straße depot by constructing a new bus workshop and establishing charging infrastructure on the adjacent bus parking area. Introduction of Alternative Drives KOM, Planning Services for the Conversion of the Freiimfelder Straße Depot.
The planning assignment includes various service profiles and phases. The following service profiles are the subject of the contract:
- Traffic facilities (Phase 1 to Phase 4, optional 5 to 7)
- Structural planning (Phase 1 to Phase 4, optional 5 to 6)
- Technical equipment (Phase 1 to 4, optional 5 to 7)
- Buildings and interiors (Phase 1 to Phase 4, optional 5 to 7)
- Outdoor areas (Phase 1 to 4, optional 5 to 7)
- Building physics (Phase 1 to 4, optional 5 to 7)
- Geotechnics (optional)
- Planning-related surveying (optional Phase 1 to 4)

The contractor assumes the role of the general planner and is thus required to provide all necessary services, possibly involving subcontractors. The duration specified in point 5.1.3 relates to the total duration including options. A detailed description of the services to be provided can be found in the tender documents.
