Klinikum Hersfeld-Rotenburg is an association of 8 health facilities under municipal ownership.

As part of a comprehensive future strategy, acute medical care services are now to be concentrated at one location — the Bad Hersfeld Hospital. This requires extensive structural measures in various stages. The medical conception is based on about 40,000 m 2 NUF and 650 planbeds. The services advertised here are intended to determine the need for new construction and renovation and gradually implemented over the next 10 to 15 years. According to target planning, the new construction of a functional and care tract with ZNA, radiology, 10 surgeries, 60 seats ITC/IMC and 160 beds of normal care as well as a helipad for around EUR 100 million as the 1st BA will take place. The total costs are estimated at EUR 150 million.

The assignment is carried out in stages and by construction, initially only for target planning.
