The tendered task concerns cleaning and weed control of public sidewalks in Frederiksberg Municipality with the exception of the innermost 40 cm. of sidewalks. The tendered task does not include sidewalks on private common roads.
Cleaning of the public sidewalks is a politically adopted cleaning scheme in which Frederiksberg Municipality has taken over the landowner's cleaning obligations on public sidewalks and performs cleaning at the landowner's expense. The scheme is tariff-based.
Cleaning of public sidewalks is legally mandated by sections 64-68 of the Road Act. The provisions of section 72(2) of the Danish Road Act state that work carried out at the landowner's expense must be carried out as cheaply as possible, which is why the task is being put out to tender.
The detailed description of the task can be found in the tender documents.
The municipality expects the annual consumption on the contract to be approx. DKK 5-6 million excluding VAT. However, the annual remuneration during the contract period will be determined on the basis of the prices offered by the supplier and the municipality's actual consumption of the supplier's services. In this connection, it can be stated that today 5.5 FTEs are used for the task, including 1.5 FTEs by a foreign contractor.
The tender includes the transfer of 4 full-time equivalents from Frederiksberg Gartner- og Vejservice.
The municipality submits control bids for the tendered contract in accordance with Executive Order No. 607 of 24 June 2008 on the calculation and submission of control bids by municipalities and regions.
The municipality reserves the right to cancel the tender if the municipality's own bid turns out to be the most economically advantageous tender on the basis of price.
