Bothnian Bay Waste Management Ltd asks for your contract offer for the collection and delivery of hazardous waste for further processing.

More detailed information on the contract is presented in the attached model works contract and in Appendices 2 and 3. The invitation to tender has not been accompanied by legislation regulating operations (www.finlex.fi) or the general waste management regulations (www.tornio.fi/jätehuoltomääräykset) of the Bothnian Waste Board area.

As a rule, the contractor must use his own equipment. The client may accept the use of subcontractors or the formation of a work consortium, but their use must be indicated in the tender and they must be specifically named.

The contract period starts on 1.11.2022 and is first fixed-term for two (2) years and continues until further notice, unless either party has terminated it six (6) months before the end of the fixed-term contract. The notice period for an open-ended contract is six (6) months.

The service includes hazardous waste collected in the Kemi, Keminmaa, Tornio, Tervola and Ylitornio areas, which has been delivered to predefined collection points of Bothnian Bay Waste Management Ltd or its partner. The service consists of a pick-up service and appropriate delivery of waste for further processing. In addition, the service includes a provincial collection tour organized once a year and training on the reception and handling of hazardous waste arranged by the provider separately ordered by the client.

A more detailed description of the service and the different collection points and their locations are presented in the appendices to the tendering material. The annexes also provide information on the quantity of previous activities in order to estimate the calculation of the bid.
