The project is a part of the new double track between Bergen station and Arna and it includes development of the station area in Bergen, from the station hall out to Fløen, as well as new signalling installations. The project also includes the establishment of appropriate track connections between workshop and sidings and the rest of the station's track areas. The actual station, including platforms and platform equipment, is not a part of this project.
UBF 34 is a contract with elements from Track/Contact Line.
UBF 35 is a contract with elements from High Voltage, Low Voltage and Tele.
The work shall be carried out in the existing infrastructure or close to it at Bergen station and requires great flexibility and good planning. There will be a limited number of train-free periods in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Otherwise the work will have to be adapted to ‘white times’ in the graphical route for the stretch (see the attached timetable for 2017). Four contracts will be ongoing simultaneously in the same area, so there will be a need for good coordination between the contractors. In addition there will be coordination with other work on the stretch Arna — Bergen (projects or maintenance activities). The builder will have the main responsibility for coordination between the contracts.
