Description:
A company is needed to manage the National Litter Pollution Monitoring System, ensuring coordination and support for local authorities in litter surveys and providing annual reports to the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment.
The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment is tendering for a company to operate as the Litter Monitoring Body (LMB) to oversee the implementation and development of the National Litter Pollution Monitoring System. Responsibilities will include coordinating returns and supporting local authorities who carry out Litter Pollution and Quantification surveys. The system runs on an annual cycle from April to March. A national level report and audit report is to be provided to the Department before end March each year. Once the national report is published the LMB will also provide returns to each local authority. See tender documents for full details.
