Basic renovation of the listed platform hall, including lighting and lightning protection, as well as preparatory work for the installation of an elevator on platform 9/10 of Görlitz station. The three-nave hall roof extends over a length of approx. 125m and a total width of approx. 60 m. In order to carry out the renovation work, a sliding steel structure of about 60 m long must be constructed, which is moved lengthwise for each hall ship and serves as a support level for the room scaffolding. Railway operation is largely maintained during the work. Appropriate protective measures for travellers should be provided.

Extent of the work:

— approx. 9,500 m2 removal (sandblasting) and renewal of the corrosion protection of the steel structure,

— approx. 50 tonnes of replacement of corrosion-weakened components and scheduled reinforcement measures,

— approx. 4 600 m2 renovation of the timber structure, the wooden formwork and the roofing of the platform roof as a double-standing seam system including roof drainage and safety systems,

— approx. 7 400 m2 renovation of the glazing of the skylights (partly as a P-R façade), side and gable facades and staircases,

— approx. 75 t scaffold construction,

— approx. 3 000 m3 construction of room scaffolding and 2,500 m2 facade scaffolding,

— preparatory work (earthwork, concrete works) for a new elevator system on platform 9/10,

— approx. 3 200 m cable laying,

— approx. 180 new platform and ceiling lights,
