Description:
IT network components and support

The client operates its own communication network for VoIP telephony and data communication in the city of Düsseldorf. With approx. 400 Alcatel-Lucent switches spread over approx. 80 locations, the IT infrastructure for approx. 12000 IT ports is provided here. For object and process monitoring from power plants and waterworks, video networks are operated and made accessible to the various departments of the AG. The company's own fiber optic backbone includes 4 core sites, providing the meshed, highly available networks for the entire communication volume of the AG. The fiber optic network also provides dark fibre connections between the data centers and the AG's power plants. The internal voice communication of the AG is based on the SIP standard and allows a far-reaching manufacturer-independent integration of end devices into the communication network.

For the operation of this network, the supply of active and passive network components, including accessories, as well as the provision of technical support is required.

Delivery of active network components:

passive infrastructure:

- Delivery of copper cables of LAN technology for the standard CAT-7 according to IEEE 802.3an,

- Supply of data sockets for the standard CAT-7 according to IEEE 802.3an,

- Supply of fiber optic cables of LAN technology for the areas of singlemode and multimode,

- Documentation of the installed components in the form of a bill of materials.

Active components:

- Supply of network components

- checking the order for plausibility and completeness,

- Inspection of the active components by the Contractor before delivery for completeness and functionality,

- Pre-configuration by the Contractor prior to delivery according to the Client's instructions, All necessary services as well as the small material for physical installation, e.g.

o Cage nuts, fastening screws,

o Any additional mounting material required (angles, rails, equipment carriers, etc.)

- Installation of the current stable software/firmware image in coordination with the operating area of the Client.

Support:

- The Contractor maintains a Technical Help Desk (THD), which can be reached Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 via a special telephone number.

- Outside the THD's reachable hours, the Contractor shall ensure a telephone on-call service

- At the Client's request, the Contractor shall carry out remote maintenance of the Client's systems

- Replacement of defective components

- Extended warranty
