The new construction of the Rebstockbad in Frankfurt am Main is the most important swimming pool project within the framework of the Frankfurt 2025 swimming pool concept and, in addition to its function for the regional supply of the city of Frankfurt am Main, aims to have a supra-regional impact on the Rhine-Main region. The Rebstockbad is to become a showcase project in the bathing landscape. The services put out to tender in the present case are the sanitary and fire extinguishing technology required for the construction of the new building.

The client, BäderBetriebe Frankfurt GmbH, operates 13 swimming pools in the city of Frankfurt am Main, including the Rebstockbad in question. The former Rebstockbad was the largest water park in Frankfurt am Main and was visited by about 600,000 guests annually.

Due to the age of the building and the structural condition, there was a need for action for the former Rebstockbad. On the basis of the investigation of various development possibilities for the site, the demolition and the construction of a new replacement building, comparable in size to the existing building, was decided.

The subject of this tender are those construction works that are required for the construction of the new Rebstockbad, in this case the sanitary and fire extinguishing technology, and are described in more detail in the planning documents and the bill of quantities.

The contractor's obligation to perform begins immediately after the award of the contract. It is currently announced that, subject to possible revisions to the offer, the contract will be awarded in July 2023. The client expressly reserves the right to award the contract directly and without a round of negotiations on an initial offer.

As the services have a potential impact on the entire course of the project, the work must be started immediately and must always be carried forward.
