Guarding the central contact point for asylum seekers in the state of Saxony-Anhalt in Halberstadt
The central contact point for asylum seekers in the state of Saxony-Anhalt (ZAST) is a reception facility within the meaning of Section 44 of the Asylum Act (AsylG). As a so-called initial reception facility, it serves to accommodate newly arrived asylum seekers in Germany who are obliged to submit their asylum application to the branch office of the responsible Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Halberstadt. The accommodation areas of the reception centre are occupied around the clock.
Due to the location of the BAMF branch office at the Halberstadt site, ZAST is the only reception facility in the state of Saxony-Anhalt that receives new foreigners from outside the country who wish to apply for asylum.
Other federal, state and local authorities, civilian service providers and non-profit organizations are also active on the ZAST site in Halberstadt. The employees of these authorities, facilities, service providers, etc. have been granted access rights, in some cases also the right of access. The client is ZAST. The State Administration Office supervises the ZAST.
ZAST operates a main property and a branch office in Halberstadt, with a gross accommodation capacity of up to 1,414 places. The object of the contract is to secure the contract objects against external interference throughout the year, to maintain security and order, and to carry out control and security tasks
