The subject of this tender are project management services for the new construction of the BürgerRatHaus Essen. On a gross floor area of around 34,400 m 2 Various departments of the city administration for citizen-oriented services with 1,400 employees of the city of Essen are to be accommodated. The state-of-the-art administration building is to combine the city center offers of the JobCenter Essen, parts of the youth welfare office and the office for social affairs and housing, as well as parts of the citizens office.

The GVE Grundstücksverwaltung Stadt Essen GmbH ("GVE") was commissioned by the City of Essen with the planning and structural implementation of the new building of the Citizens' Council House Essen. On a gross floor area of around 34,400 m 2 Various departments of the city administration for citizen-oriented services with 1,400 employees of the city of Essen are to be accommodated. The state-of-the-art administration building is to combine the city center offers of the JobCenter Essen, parts of the youth welfare office and the office for social affairs and housing, as well as parts of the citizens office. The aim is to realize an administration building that meets the requirements of the digitalization of administration, enables a realignment of work processes, contributes to greater citizen-friendliness and better accessibility and is perceived by the employees working there as an attractive workplace.

For the project, there was a negotiation process with an upstream planning competition “New building BürgerRatHaus Essen” as a restricted, anonymous, urban development and structural implementation competition according to RPW 2013. Work on the general planning services for service phases 1-2 has started. With this tender, the registry intends to award project management services based on the AHO service profile. The services are commissioned in stages / optionally according to the project management contract.
