UK Croydon IAPT Counselling Service The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is seeking to appoint a supplier to develop and improve access and expand IAPT counselling provision in the London Borough of Croydon. The IAPT programme has established psychological therapy services in each CCG area which are designed to treat common mental issues(depression and anxiety) in accoradance with the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NOCE) stepped models of care. Croydon CCG is continuing to expand IAPT provision over 2015/16 and 2016/17 to meet the full National standards by the fourth quarter of 2015/16 and to move to a mixed model of provision, including a counselling service. The service commissioned by Croydon IAPT and provided by [the counselling service] will be fully IAPT compliant and will consist of: At least 75 % of clients having their first treatment session within six weeks of referral, with a minimum of 95 % being treated within 18 weeks Strong partnership with Croydon IAPT (SLaM) Achieving 50 % recovery rates (outcome focused treatment). Recovery is defined as scoring 9 or below on the PHQ9 as well as 7 or below on the GAD7. Using and recording sessional outcome measures at each session (PHQ9, GAD7, Phobia scales and WSAS) in line with the rest of the service Offering extending hours of service to clients (Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm as well as Saturdays 9am to 5pm) Offering treatment in a variety of locations for patient choice, including presence in the north of the borough The Counselling Service will provide one to one counselling for people, aged 18 and upwards, who are experiencing common mental health difficulties. The service provides one to one time limited counselling sessions based on a solution focused and person centred approach.
