69120 Heidelberg, Im Neuenheimer Feld 340, Heidelberg, University, Botanical Garden: 1. BA replacement greenhouses, engineering services according to Part 4 Section 2 HOAI
Founded in 1593, the Botanical Garden of Heidelberg University is one of the oldest of its kind and in 1915 it was the first building complex of the university to be built on the Im Neuenheimer Feld campus. It is a place of scientific research and teaching, offers public educational programs and is an important institution for the horticultural craft and its training in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. In addition, with its facilities it forms a green, ecological retreat for the public in Neuenheimer Feld.
Due to the age of the entire facility as well as the poor energy condition of the greenhouses and their technical equipment, the facilities of the Botanical Garden are to be renovated and structurally rebuilt. The aim of the planned renovation measure is to equip the facility for the requirements of a modern research facility, to create synergies between the individual greenhouses and to optimize them energetically. The building stock and the outdoor facilities do not meet the criteria of a cultural monument in the sense of the DSchG and therefore do not fall under monument protection.
Except for a few parts, the existing greenhouse will be demolished and rebuilt.
Parts of the main greenhouse (pavilion east and west) are being renovated and integrated into the future greenhouse complex.
The total renovation of the botanical garden is to be carried out in 2 construction phases. The subject of this procedure is the planning and execution of the 1st construction phase. In view of a later 2nd construction phase and its techn. This connection is to be planned up to LPH 3.
Construction is planned to start in mid-2023.
The proportionate total construction costs (KG 400) amount to EUR 3.97 million gross.
Engineering services according to Part 4 Section 2 HOAI, service phases 2 to 9 according to § 55 HOAI as well as special services of the service phases 2, 3, 5, 8 and 9 for the following system groups according to § 53 para. 2 HOAI: sewage, water and gas systems, heat supply systems , Ventilation systems, high-voltage systems, telecommunications and information technology systems, usage-specific and process engineering systems and building automation.
Planning of the new construction of the southern research greenhouses, necessary temporary arrangements for the interim greenhouses required during the construction phase as well as possible enclosures in the course of the pollution remediation and preparation of the demolition structures.
In view of a later 2nd construction phase and its technical connection, the 2nd construction phase up to and including service phase 3 must be planned. This includes the new construction of the northern greenhouses including the renovation of the pavilion buildings, the dismantling of the implemented interim greenhouses, the restructuring of the outdoor facilities as well as possible reconstructions in preparation for the demolition of the northern historical greenhouse buildings.
The planning task also includes the infrastructural development of the construction site and the connection of the existing building to the property's supply media.
