The JRC Karlsruhe intends to construct a separate laboratory and warehouse building on the ITU site as a nuclear installation for handling radioactive substances, authorised in accordance with paragraph 9 of the Atomic Energy Act (Atomgesetz) in conjunction with paragraph 7 of the Radiation Protection Regulation (Strahlenschutzverordnung).
A suitable general contractor is sought for production planning (which partially involves the drafting of pre-inspection documents for experts to carry out preliminary testing), the production with associated inspections conducted by experts, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning (including functional and acceptance tests, also with the involvement of experts) of technical building equipment (ventilation, electrical engineering, control and communications technology, mechanical engineering, process technology, radiation protection measuring technology), as well as the preparation of final documentation.
The invitation to tender for the technical building equipment will be in 6 parts:
part 1: ventilation;
part 2: electrical engineering;
part 3: control and communications technology;
part 4: process technology;
part 5: mechanical engineering;
part 6: radiation protection measuring technology.
