The promotion of wilderness in Germany is taken up by the Federal Government in the Action Programme for Natural Climate Protection (ANK) and concretised by several measures in the field of action "4th Wilderness and Protected Areas". Against this background, the object of this award is the establishment and establishment of the KlimaWildnisZentrale (KWZ) in Berlin as a central information and coordination point. Specifically, this is an ANK measure in accordance with section 4.3 ClimateWilderness Ambassadors (KWB). The KWZ is the central body for the technical coordination of the KWB. At the same time, it is responsible for the coordination, networking and technical support of KWB in the individual regions on site. At the same time, it is the low-threshold point of contact for questions about wilderness and its contribution to climate protection in Germany. In doing so, it also serves as an interface between volunteers, the KWB, which is more locally and regionally active, and the awarding bodies of funding programs in the field of "wilderness" in Germany. Another focus of her work is the creation of information materials on the topic of natural climate protection and wilderness in Germany for the interested public and the work of KWB.
