The services of the framework agreement include overall geophysical surveys, including in connection with creating the basis for the design and environmental impact assessment of the project. In addition, the framework agreement covers the collection and analysis of individual environmental samples. The services of the framework agreement are described in more detail in point II.2.4 of the contract notice and in the tender documents.
The services of the framework agreement include overall geophysical surveys, including in connection with creating the basis for the design and environmental impact assessment of the project. In addition, the framework agreement covers the collection and analysis of individual environmental samples.
The Supplier is expected to provide services within the following main areas under the Agreement:
- Planning of geophysical mappings and investigations, including bathymetry, seismics and magnetometry (e.g. in connection with archaeological investigations and identification of unexploded subjects (UXO)).
- Execution and finishing of the above mentioned mappings and surveys as well as preparation of maps of the seabed and layer boundaries in the underlying soil layers (3D model). The latter is initially correlated with existing drilling profiles in / at the examined area and possibly later with drilling profiles carried out in the second agreement.
The geophysical surveys shall cover the following:
- Multibeam Echosounding (MBES).
- Sound velocity profiling.
- Sub-bottom profiling with high solubility and high frequency single channel system (SBP).
- Dual-frekvens Side Scan Sonar (SSS).
- High Resolution Magnetometer Mapping (MAG).
The geophysical surveys are divided into two areas of work. Areas with water depth ≥ 5.0 m and areas with water depths <5.0 m, for the sake of vessels and distance between alignments. Please note that the seabed in a larger area has a water depth of about 2.0 m.
Unless otherwise agreed, the mobilization notice for geophysical field surveys must be a maximum of two calendar weeks.
The vessel used must have room for a builder's representative.
Geological model: A geological 3D model should be carried out on the basis of the geophysical surveys carried out and available data on geological conditions in the area.
For the geological model, an IHS Kingdom project or equivalent is provided with the seismic lines, and horizons and grids per geological unit, as well as exports from this project to txt, grid or other recognized GIS format, which is agreed upon before the model work is started.
In addition, a report is provided describing the geological mapping.
